Description:
Overlooking Ryde Esplanade and Harbour with views accross the Solent. The majestic cstellated buildingm claimed to have been commissioned by Henry VII to defend the Spithead; Slent and Southampton Water from invasion by the Spanish. Near the beach; Hovercraft; Railway and Ferry; the pub was used to re-launch the local branch of CAMRA in 1991. There are conference facilities; a small meeting room and a banqueting room seating up to 200 people.
