Description:

A 17th Century Coaching and posting inn, open fire, beamed ceilings, stone walls and very atmospheric. We can cater for up to about 100 diners, in two rooms, the menu is extensive as is the wine list. We have a specials board that includes one off chefs specials, curries, steaks, including a 68oz for those with a bigger appetite. Also when the weather allows we have a small decked area to the rear of the pub. Well behaved children are welcome in certain areas when dinning, but we cannot cater for those who need to exercise themselves. There are Themed nights throughout the year, like Casino nights, live music, and beer or wine festivals, three real ales always available. We do not have over night accommodation but there is a holiday apartment above the pub for short breaks or full holidays. This is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and if you are into trains the station is a few steps away with direct links to the Island's steam railway at Haven Street.
