Trendy late bar for the young set with dancing and strobe lights.   Had a chequered career back in the 1950s when as the Bow Bars; the Island King of the Fruit Machines; Alfie Vernon was owner.   Its most celebrated event was when Paul Mc Cartney and his brother had an Ice Cream concession at the entrance from where it is said came the inspiration for 'Ticket tp Ryde'  Alas no real ale.
