Description:
A very picturesque pub of some character, at the centre of the village, opposite local store and bus stop. There is a separate formal area/function room as well as a popular public bar with extended areas. No one quite knows when it became a pub, previously it had been known as “Speeds”, and when it was leased to a John Clark in 1744, it was almost certainly a pub. It obviously played an important part in the village life before then, when possibly the Midsummer’s Ball was held there. An extension of the existing garden, a new area encompasses a large family dining area along with climbing area and bouncy castle.
