east cowes

Small industrial town across the river from West Cowes, whose most notable feature is the huge Union Jack on the G.K.N. Hanger, and the ferry terminal. It has its own marina up the river and several local pubs. Osborne House, once the home of Queen Victoria is open to the public during the summer. Between them, the pubs in East Cowes serve one of the best ranges of beers on the Island, which makes it excellent drinking territory.
